Friday, May 1st, 2009

Yeah a SAIB Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin, that means what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right?

No it means that thank the Lord it is not an AD to cause you more billable hours at the mechanic, but according to the FAA it is “the airworthiness concern is not an unsafe condition that would warrant airworthiness directive (AD) action under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 39″ so now that we cleared that up if you use Jet A, you might oughta read this one…

Cessna is doing their part to get you to Fly!

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

With piston airplane sales down 28% in the first quarter of 2008 Cessna decided they would do their part to get you in the air!  With the strain of high fuel prices, most ‘weekend pilots’ have parked their planes or close to it, but Cessna wants to make sure you can fly…

From now until September 30, 2008 Cessna is offering upgrades to avionics for free and $15,000 worth of free aviation fuel.  Combine FREE fuel with the government plan (2008 Economic Stimulus Act) that allow you to depreciate 76% of your plane purchase in the first year if buy it before year end (check with tax advisor or IRS on this one) and hopefully once again you can get back in the air.
